As a young adult, I enjoyed working with wood and seeing plain wood become something beautiful and functional, but I knew nothing of the art of wood turning. After moving to St. Petersburg in 1997
I was introduced to wood turning by a good friend who mentors me to this day. That introduction launched a new artistic path and career, and the successes I have achieved still surprises me today.
As I perfected my craft and created many turned wood art items, I began exhibiting my work at fine art shows where I received numerous accolades and awards for my work. I also included functional art pepper mills, which were well received. The pinnacle of my wood turning career was the day one of my pepper mills selected for a feature article in the Food Network Magazine as part of Guy Fieri's Star Kitchen.
That article encouraged me to expand my pepper mill designs and wood selections, and it has become my signature design for the last several years.
